We are looking for two dynamic and compassionate people who will provide day care services to a wide range of customers at our Day Care Service (Elgin Close Resource Centre) and in the local community (ECRC Community Outreach Programme) working as part of our new hybrid model. You will have experience of working with, and providing care to, a wide group of vulnerable older adults, including people living with dementia, those who have had strokes/head injury, frailty and learning disabilities.
As a Support Worker/Resource Centre Officer you will provide person centred assistance to our customers for all aspects of their physical, emotional and personal care. You will enable them to live their lives to the full, as independently as possible and in the safest possible manner.
You will participate with and support customers to access the daily programme of activities and services and be prepared to work as part of a team to facilitate their needs at the centre and in the local community. You will represent the centre at local community events and assist with the recruitment and retention of volunteers and ensure that they work as part of the team.
To do the job well, you will have previous experience of providing care and support and working with a wide range of customers. You will feel comfortable with developing person-centred working relationships and preparing and reviewing care plans and have an understanding of the aims within the care sector. Basic IT skills in MS Word, Excel and Outlook are a must.
Please also be aware that this role does require you to provide personal care to our customers.
